Year 10 Girls Reach Regional Masterchef Final

Bury Grammar School Girls will be represented in a regional Masterchef competition after two girls achieved second place in the Tottington and Bury West Rotary Junior Masterchef competition final.

Bury Grammar School Girls will be represented in a regional Masterchef competition after two girls achieved second place in the Tottington and Bury West Rotary Junior Masterchef competition final.
Four Year 10 pupils took part in the final at Bury College on Tuesday, competing against 13 teams from seven local schools.
BGS Girls Zahra Ahmed and Molly Healy a made hot and spicy chilli chicken wrap served with a cooling yogurt, assorted mixed vegetables and sweet potato wedges. 
For desert, they made a raspberry and white chocolate choux pastry eclairs topped with glazed white chocolate and freeze dried raspberries.
Fellow BGS Girls Rebecca Kay and Harriet Vaughan finished as runners-up in the final. 
They made Italian chicken with rosemary and lemon, homemade focaccia and mixed aromatic vegetables. 
For desert, they made a black forest mousse made with rich cherries, heavenly chocolate mousse, rum infused cream and grated chocolate.
