Junior School Admissions
Girls can be considered for entry in each of the four years (i.e. 7+, 8+, 9+, 10+) though the principal age of entry is 7+. Entry at all stages is by an assessment day.
Girls are invited to spend an assessment day in school and would be with a class of peers. Their visit will usually include assessments, lunch and classroom activities. Their visit may include a short interview with the Head of the Junior School. The purpose of which will be to explore among other things: her interests, attitude to school, personal qualities and ability to contribute to the school community. We will seek a reference from the Head of the girl’s current school, who would typically be asked to comment upon academic ability, attitude, behaviour, talents and interests and any other special circumstances such as a disability.
Offers of places are made to successful candidates, shortly after their visits.
At 11+ your daughter is entitled to sit the Senior School Entrance Examination. Transfer to the Senior School is not automatic at this stage, though in practice the overwhelming majority of pupils pass.
